My name is Dan and I moved to Colorado in 2011. I have had dogs all my life, however it wasn't until I married when we had our first fur-babies that I realized how much I loved dogs. When I made the move to Colorado my wife had to stay behind with the dogs so I could get settled and that's when I first used a dog walker. It was scary trusting a stranger with my kids, even had my father in law do a criminal background check, but this person made our lives so much easier since my wife could not come home during the day and take our dogs out. Over the years I have continued to use professional dog care services for my current dogs. I started The Backyard Escape because I know how much your pets matter! I'm a dog lover myself and quality dog care is important! My goal is to provide you with "peace of mind" at a standard of care that far exceeds your expectations. I understand dogs need more than just a quick feeding, which is why I go above and beyond when it comes to caring for your beloved animals. With me, you will never have to worry about anything while your away. When I'm not caring for your fur kids, I'm caring for my dogs. I currently have 2 adopted dogs from the shelters and I am also a dog foster parent when needed.
